Who we are
globalmoneycalc.com is run by Jeel Patel, an individual based in India. This policy explains what personal data the site handles, why, and what choices you have. For any question about it, email usafinancelab@gmail.com.
Summary
- The calculators work in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us or stored by us.
- We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, addresses or payment details.
- Google AdSense shows advertising on this site. Google and its partners use cookies to do this.
- You can limit ad personalisation. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, ads are personalised only with your consent.
Information we collect
- Server and hosting logs. Our hosting provider records technical details of each request, such as the page requested, the time, the browser type and an IP address, to keep the site secure and running. We do not use these logs to identify you.
- Your currency choice. If you choose a currency, the site stores that choice in your browser's local storage so it is remembered on your next visit. This is never sent to our servers.
- Advertising data. Google AdSense collects information about your visit so it can show and measure ads, as described below.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep the email and your reply to answer you and to keep a record of corrections.
Calculators
Every calculator runs in your browser. The figures you enter are used only to produce the result on screen. They are not transmitted to our servers, not saved, and not linked to you.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. The site uses:
- Strictly necessary storage, such as the currency preference above and the security cookies set by our hosting provider. These do not need your consent.
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, which measure visits to the live site. They record the pages you view, how long you stay, your approximate location and device type, and they set a cookie with an anonymous visitor ID (for example, the _ga cookie). We use the reports to see which pages are useful. Google Analytics does not identify you to us by name.
- Advertising cookies from Google, which are set when Google AdSense shows an ad. These include the DoubleClick cookie, which Google uses to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites, to limit how often you see the same ad, and to measure ad performance.
You can see and clear cookies in your browser settings at any time. Clearing site data also removes your currency choice, and the site will use the currency for your country instead until you choose another.
Google Analytics
The live site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic. You can stop it by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on from tools.google.com, or by blocking cookies in your browser. Before the site is promoted in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, we will ask for consent before analytics cookies are set, as described below.
Google AdSense and advertising
Google is a third-party vendor on this site. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and to other websites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit here.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised ads through aboutads.info.
- Learn how Google uses data from sites and apps that use its services at policies.google.com.
Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google will show you a consent message before it sets advertising cookies, and you can accept or reject them. Without consent, Google shows only non-personalised ads, which do not use your browsing history for targeting. You can change your choice later through the consent settings the message provides.
Legal basis for using data
- Running the site securely and keeping it working: our legitimate interest in a reliable service.
- Storing your currency choice: because you ask the site to remember it.
- Advertising cookies: your consent where the law requires it, and otherwise as described above.
- Replying to your email: to respond to your request.
How long we keep data
Server logs are kept only as long as the hosting provider keeps them for security, and no longer than needed. Emails are kept for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of corrections. Advertising data is held by Google under its own policies.
Sharing your data
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers that run the site and with Google for advertising, as described above, and where the law requires it. Google and our hosting provider may process data outside your country, under their own safeguards.
Children
The site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. In India, these rights come from the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. In the EEA and UK, they come from the GDPR and UK GDPR. To use them, email usafinancelab@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Grievance officer
For a complaint about how your personal data is handled, contact the grievance officer at usafinancelab@gmail.com. Send the subject as "Privacy grievance". We will acknowledge it and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site changes, for example when we add or change a service. The date at the top shows when it was last updated, and material changes will be noted on this page.
