Verification
Each product's facts are taken from the provider's official website and checked against the regulator's register where one exists. The date of the check is shown on the product page. A product is not published until it has a checked date.
Editorial ratings
Ratings are editorial scores out of 10. They are an opinion, not a measurement, and they reflect the factors listed on each product page: fees, limits, regulation, access and clarity of terms.
Separation from advertising
Paid placements, if any, are labelled as sponsored and are kept apart from editorial rankings. Commission never changes a product's rating or the facts shown about it.
Calculators
Each calculator is tested against independently calculated reference values. The formula and the assumptions are shown beside every result. Tax calculators will show the country and tax year they apply to.
Corrections
If a fact is wrong, tell us through the contact page. We correct it and show the date of the change.
